Memorial Service Updates

Due to the amazing and overwhelming amount of support and, therefore, suspected turnout for the service, we are changing the location for Nacho's memorial to Hudson Hall (Roger's Music Center) on the Willamette Campus. The service will still be at 3:00 with a reception immediately following. Signs will be on campus directing you to the new location.

Memorial Contributions

Nacho’s passions ran wide and deep. In honor of his memory, contributions can be made to one of the following funds in the areas that best represent his children’s passions.

1. Willamette Academy

Willamette Academy at Willamette University is a college access program committed to empowering youth who have the desire and potential to advance to higher education, targeting those who are historically under-represented at colleges and universities in the United States. Willamette Academy is a supplemental education program in which diverse students are challenged and inspired to enhance their critical thinking skills, see themselves as leaders in their community, and develop a love of learning. Our hope is that through community support and cooperative efforts with families and public schools, Willamette Academy students will develop a stronger foundation on which to build their futures.

Donations can be sent as a memorial to: Willamette Academy, Willamette University, 900 State St., SE, Salem, OR 97301

It is with deep regret that we are reporting the loss of our beloved Nathaniel 'Nacho' Cordova. Arrangements will be announced as soon as they are available. In the meantime, please keep the Cordova family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.

This blog was created so you can share your stories and feelings.

Nacho was killed instantly in a scooter accident near Hebo, Oregon, this afternoon.

Here is a link with a little more information.

Michelle has chosen to honor Nacho's memory by suggesting donations be made to one of three meaningful organizations that are representative of their family. We hope to have information posted soon with a link to make your donation online if you wish.
