Memorial Contributions

Nacho’s passions ran wide and deep. In honor of his memory, contributions can be made to one of the following funds in the areas that best represent his children’s passions.

1. Willamette Academy

Willamette Academy at Willamette University is a college access program committed to empowering youth who have the desire and potential to advance to higher education, targeting those who are historically under-represented at colleges and universities in the United States. Willamette Academy is a supplemental education program in which diverse students are challenged and inspired to enhance their critical thinking skills, see themselves as leaders in their community, and develop a love of learning. Our hope is that through community support and cooperative efforts with families and public schools, Willamette Academy students will develop a stronger foundation on which to build their futures.

  3. I know this is really late and dont want to hurt any of his family. I was still wrappimg my mind around everything at the time so i didnt reach out. Being that it has been five years and my husband were doing the same parade as we were that day. We were the first responders on that day. I just want the family to know when we knew i held his hand and prayed for him. Like i said sooo sorry to do this now. I just want the family to know he wasnt alone.
